As the Department of Business Administration, necessary studies are carried out to start the Double Major and Minor Programs.
Since there has been no application for double major and minor programs within the Department of Business Administration since the start of the education activity, no decision has been taken regarding the opening of these programs. It is possible to open with the approval of the Senate, if a proposal is submitted by the Department and the Faculty for the opening of double major and minor programs.
If the opening of the programs is approved, detailed information is given below.
The principles to be applied for Double Major and Minor Programs are determined according to the provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer". Students who are at the beginning of the third semester at the earliest and at the beginning of the fifth semester of their undergraduate program and have a grade point average of three can apply to continue their undergraduate education in another relevant department, if they wish, within the quota determined by the University. A double major undergraduate diploma is given to a student who has the right to graduate from his/her own department and completes the double major program with at least two averages. This program consists of at least 48 credits/hour. The degree of success in the double major program does not affect the success of the student in his own program and the graduation degree. To graduate from the double major program, 240 ECTS must be completed.
Minor program; It refers to the program that enables students enrolled in a diploma program to receive a document (minor certificate) that does not replace a diploma by taking a limited number of courses on a certain subject within the same higher education institution, provided that they meet the stipulated conditions. Students with a cumulative grade point average of at least three (65 out of 100) may, if they wish, take the courses in the undergraduate program of another relevant department within the quota determined by the University, starting from the third semester of their undergraduate program at the earliest. The minor program consists of at least 18 credits/hour. A minor certificate is given to the student who has the right to graduate from his/her own department and completes the minor program with at least two averages.
