Our faculty has completed its establishment process with the publication of the Council of Ministers Decision No. 2011/2260 in the Official Gazette dated 24 October 2011 and numbered 28094.
Student admission to Fethiye Faculty of Business Administration Department has started as of the 2014-2015 academic year. With its new campus, well-equipped buildings, innovative and experienced teaching staff, our department has made it its mission to offer students a high-quality and distinctive education. The aim of our department is to provide a quality education. For this, our academicians constantly improve and renew themselves.

RECOGNITON OF PRIOR LEARNING
The courses in which the students who enroll in the program for the first time have been successful in their previous higher education departments/programs can be transferred to the department and program they registered with, with the decision of the relevant administrative board. However, for this, students are required to apply to the unit they are affiliated with within the first week of the academic year with documents showing the credits, content and success grades of these courses. The number of semesters corresponding to these courses is calculated by taking into account the total credits of the courses in the education-training program that are recognized and grades of which are transferred, and the semester credits in the education-training program of the program in which the student is enrolled. This period is deducted from the maximum education period specified in Article 44 of the Law and the semester in which the student will be adjusted is determined by the decision of the relevant administrative board.
SPECIFIC ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
It is needed to succeed in the exam conducted by OSYM for the acceptance to the universities in Turkey.
In order to enter universities in our country, it is necessary to successfully pass the higher education examination (YKS).
T.R. Admission to undergraduate courses for citizens of the state depends only on the score from this examination. According to the results of the central examination called Foreign Student Examination (YÖS), foreign students are also admitted in a limited contingent.

PROFILE OF THE PROGRAMME
The Department of Business Administration aims to prepare and train human resources that are needed by the public and private sectors, equipped with modern business administration, entrepreneurship and management formation and skills. The Department is responsible to the Faculty Dean and the Rectorate as a hierarchical structure, and the relevant decisions of the Department are finalized by sending them to the relevant boards of the Dean's Office and the Rectorate. It trains its students to be employed in many fields for the public and private sectors. Stakeholders with whom the Business Department interacts; It can be summarized as CMB, DPT, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Finance, various institutions and organizations affiliated to the Ministries, especially the Banking Sector, as well as Universities, Research Institutions, Institutes. The Department of Business Administration tries to provide the best education and training services to its students with its qualified teaching staff. Incentive supported projects can be carried out in the department. With the academic studies carried out by the department, it contributes to the intellectual world of science and to the employment market of our country with the qualified students it educates and to the economic, social and cultural development of the region.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The purpose of Fethiye Faculty of Business Administration Department is to teach students the basic principles, concepts and knowledge in the field of business administration, and to enable them to understand the basic business functions. Able to fulfill the requirements of being a successful manager in the field; To raise graduates who have gained leadership and communication skills, can think strategically, can use problem-solving techniques, and have an analytical thinking system. At the same time, the Department of Business Administration provides its students with the necessary competence and self-confidence in terms of legal and ethical responsibility, cooperation between stakeholders, social and cultural equipment, as well as entrepreneurship and innovation.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES
The one, who graduates from the Department of Business Administration in the Fethiye Faculty of Business Administration of Mugla University.
1.Gains advanced knowledge about management, marketing, finance, production, quantitative methods and accounting which are the sub-disciplines of business administration. Becomes skillful at analyzing and interpreting the data, defining the problems and offering the solutions by using knowledge gained regarding business life.
2.Expresses his thoughts and suggestions in written and verbal forms in Turkish and in other language with European Language Portfolio minimum B1 level, communicates effectively with the stakeholders in business life.
3.Becomes skillful at using information and ommunication technology with minimum European Computer Driving Licence in advanced level and at transfering his up to date knowledge about business to other personnel and team mates.
4.Be conscious about quality, business ethics and social responsibility, environmental protection, occupational health and safety, social rights and social justice and works in line with this awareness in the business.
5.Be open to changes, entrepreneurship, leadership, and thinks analytically and critically.
6.Becomes skillful at life long learning. Carries out studies regarding business topics.
7.Runs a project as an executive or participant. Defines aims for the organization in which he belongs.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Students must succeed all of the courses exist in the program (equivalent to 240 ECTS) and grade point average must be minimum 2,00 over 4,00.
OCCUPATIONAL PROFILES OF GRADUATES
The opportunities for finding a job and a profession for the graduates of the Department of Business Administration are quite wide due to the practical applicability and usability of the courses in the education and training programs. Job opportunities in the private and public sectors can be listed as follows: Banks, especially SMEs, can establish their own businesses in management, entrepreneurship as an entrepreneurial activity, accountancy, financial advisory and finance inspectorship, SPO, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Labor etc. they can take place in the senior staff of the public bureaucracy and other civil servants in public institutions.
ACCESS TO FURTHER STUDIES
The students who succeed in bachelor level further in his postgraduate with thesis or non-thesis, in formal or evening education and distance education in case they succeed in Academic Postgraduate Exam, have sufficient English level and succeed in the exams offered by related institutions.
LESSON PLAN
The course of study requires that the courses offered on a semester basis, amounting to 30 ECTS, be taken in one semester.
EXAM REGULATIONS & ASSESMENT & GRADING
Exams consist of mid-terms, final exams, excuse exams, repeat exams, exemption exams and one course exam. Mid-terms: There are mid-term exams for the courses that exist in every term. 40% of a mid-term exam is considered.
Final exams: There are final exams to test academic success at the end of the term. 60% of a final exam is considered.
Excuse exams: If a student has a valid excuse for the mid-term or final exams, related board allow for excuse exams. For the excuse exams, student must submit a petition, which explains the excuse, in 3 days to deanship/ management. Moreover, the excuse should be approved by related board.
Repeat exams: Students may take repeat exams for the courses, which are graded as FD or FF that they fail and which are graded as DD or DC that they pass, at the end of term. The point of a repeat exam substitutes for the final point of that course. The percentages of mid-term and repeat exams are assessed in the same way as final exams. For the repeat exams, final point is considered regardless of what was graded before.
Exemption exams: Exemption exams are set for the courses defined by the senate on the specified dates in academic calender.
One course exams: They are for the students who failed in one course and will graduate in case of succeeding in that course. Moreover, the students may take one course exam to increase their own average score, although they succeed all of the courses in the program, for the reason that they cannot graduate due to grade point average is less than 2,00. To take one course exam for graduation, a petition should be given to the head of department. One can take this exam only once. For every course, students are graded at the end of the term as below by the lecturer of the course.

The assessments apart from the above, TT means failure becausse of absenteeism, MM means exemption for the course, GG success in course, KK means failure in the course, VV means abolished course. The students are graded as “TT” if they are absent in the courses and/or applied courses. The students, who succeed in Foreign Language Proficiency Exam, are exempt from the required foreign courses (English, German, French) and graded as “MM”. The students who succeed in Preparatory Foreign Language Program and internship graded as “GG”. The students who fail in Preparatory Foreign Language Program and internship graded as “KK”. For the courses which are abolished from the education program are graded as “VV” with the proposal of head of department and with the decision of board.
OPPORTUNITIES OF DEPARTMENT
1 Professor, 2 Associate Professor, 2 Assistant Professors, 1 Lecturer, 1 Dr Research Assistant and 2 Research Assistant work in the department. There are 13 classes. Additionally, there are two computer laboratories and one conference hall.
